Working with Speak Dog is more than just taking your dog to obedience class. Whether in a group class or a private lesson our knowledgeable, certified trainers will help you learn the skills you need to train your dog based on their unique personality and history. Just like people, dogs learn at their own pace and respond to some methods more effectively than others. Because our trainers focus on understanding dog behavior they’ll help you find the right approach to getting the results you want.

Given in your home or at a location of your choosing private lessons can be performed with you present or even if you are away at work. Common topics covered in private lessons include behavior modification, household manners, new dog ownership, and more.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing
The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. Speak Dog Trainers are qualified to administer the 10-step CGC test. Dogs who pass can receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
The Foundation for Pet Provided Therapy also known as Love on a Leash is a not for profit, charitable organization that encourages volunteerism. Dog assisted therapy is not only something our trainers evaluate for, it is something they participate in. Both of Krystal’s dogs are Certified Therapy Dogs, Shasta even has an advanced degree (ThD) involving children’s reading programs. Debbie’s dog Scout is a Certified Therapy Dog too.
