Canine Good Citizen

This class is designed to prepare dog and owner teams for the A.K.C C.G.C. evaluation. Training will include education on the following behaviors:

  • Accepting a friendly stranger
  • Sitting politely for petting
  • Accepting grooming & healthy and clean/groomed appearance
  • Walking on a loose lead
  • Walking nicely through a crowd
  • Sitting and laying down on command and stay in place
  • Coming when called
  • Behaving politely around other dogs, non-reactivity
  • Demonstrating they can be left with a trusted person

Time: 3:00 pm
Location: Richland Community Center – Arts & Crafts Room
Cost:  Richland Resident – $125, Non-Richland Resident – $156.25

Trainer Krystal Ellingson is a certified A.K.C. C.G.C. Evaluator and will be glad to evaluate your dog at the end of the series.

This class is for dogs who already know their basics.

<li>In-Person – You may register at the Community Center</li>
<li>Online – You may register using the City of Richland website.</li>
<li><em>Please note, to register online with the City of Richland you will need a login and password that can be attained by calling the Community Center at 509- 942-PLAY (509-942-7529).</em></li>
